Overview
NITEK offers a wide variety of passive video balun transceivers. A passive transceiver is a non-amplified device that allows the transmission of analog color or monochrome video over ordinary unshielded twisted pair wires such as telephone cable or category rated UTP cabling. NITEK passive video balun transceiver is a non-amplified device that allows the transmission of analog color or monochrome video over ordinary unshielded twisted pair wires such as telephone cable or category rated UTP cabling. NITEK passive video balun transceivers deliver high-quality balanced video signals to the recording devices. A passive video balun can deliver a fully equalized video signal up to 3,000 feet over UTP cable when used with an active receiver. These units are intended for use over existing in-house telephone wiring, Category 5 wiring or other twisted pair cable runs to provide a convenient, cost-effective alternative to coax. They are designed to provide superior immunity from noise and interference due to EMI or RFI, which is often a commercial installation problem.
The VB31M is a UTP video balun transceiver that serves as a UTP video transmission device converting coaxial signals for twisted pair transmission into UTP signals. The VB31M provides a low-cost means of sending live video over UTP point-to-point wiring for distances of up to 750 feet (225 meters).
