Overview

The EL1500CWS is part of the EtherStretch solution for outdoor applications. The EL1500CWS consists of an ET1543C mounted into a WP1325 weatherproof enclosure, an IPCOAX1 surge protector for the camera side (indicated by the “S” in the part number) and an ER1500C for the head end of the link. The EL1500CWS is the complete solution for camera surge, PoE power and 10/100 link extension up to 500m on RG-59 or RG-6 coaxial cabling. The ER1500C can source power to the link by requesting power from a PoE switch, or 30W of power can be injected from an optional PS48 power supply.

The WP1325 enclosure (indicated by the “W” in the part number) is a polycarbonate high-impact NEMA 4X rated box equipped with neoprene gaskets to prevent the ingress of moisture and dust. The box comes with two bottom-side cable entries fitted with UL94V-2 rated nylon hex cable glands to maintain the weatherproof seal. The IPCOAX1 is a single channel, in-line 10/100 Ethernet-over-Coax surge protector. It also provides independent protection for 12/24V power, which can be used for heaters, blowers, or PTZ. The IPCOAX1 has standard female BNC connectors for mating to coaxial cables and a heavy-duty single ground connection integrated into the WP1325.
