Overview

The ET1551U is another component of the NITEK cutting edge EtherStretch line, This environmentally hardened EtherStretch solution allows for the utilization of existing UTP cable infrastructure to transmit data from IP cameras and other networks devices. The system can extend Ethernet up to 300m or 1000ft of category cable making the ET1551U ideal for retrofitting and nontraditional installations. The ET1551U is a transmitter unit that works in conjunction with a multi-port receiver unit. The EtherStretch system can quickly turn any ordinary single pair UTP cable into a high-speed communications network.

The ET1551U is transparent to the network with no IP or MAC addressing required. Simply connect any Ethernet devices to the network port of the transmitter along with the existing cabling and to a multi-port receiver unit for the system to begin communicating. The ET1551U can power remotely from a receiver unit (such as the ER1651U) or directly to provide 802.3at 25.5 watts to the camera. LED indicators show the status of network communication and power. The units are constructed of industrial-grade RoHS compliant plated aluminum which is finished with a corrosion-resistant finish making it very durable.
