Overview
NITEK’s fiber optic Media Converters line allows the customer to extend 10/100 or Gigabit Ethernet communications well beyond the reach of copper solutions. NITEK offers versions of Media converters that work over pairs of singlemode fiber or multi-mode fiber, and variants that will communicate over a single optical fiber. Max link distances range from 2 to 20km, and beyond. NITEK’s media converters also offer a range of configurations: stand-alone or rack-mount, and voltage options such as low voltage (5V, 6V-15V), industrial voltages (12-30VAC, 12-57VDC), and POE (48-57V). The POE models will output power on the network port to power remote cameras or devices.
The ML4001 is a rack-mountable media converter solution for extending 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) Ethernet. The ML4001 offers an industry-standard SFP port, allowing the user to adapt to virtually any type of fiber or link distance.
