Overview
NITEK’s line of fiber optic Media Converters allows the customer to extend 10/100 or Gigabit Ethernet communications well beyond the reach of copper solutions. NITEK offers versions of Media Converters that work over pairs of Singlemode fiber or multi-mode fiber, and variants that will communicate over a single optical fiber. Max link distances range from 2 to 20km, and beyond. NITEK’s Media Converters also offer a range of configurations: rack-mount and voltage options such as low voltage (5VDC, 6-15VDC), industrial voltages (12-30VAC, 12-57VDC), and POE (48-57V). The POE models will output power on the network port to power remote cameras or devices.
The MM1100A/B is a pair of two media converters designed to operate over a single fiber strand. The A unit must be paired with a B unit on the opposite end. The A unit is usually the camera/remote side.
