Overview

The VH439 is an Analog Video Mini hub that can function as a midspan or end span passive device. The VH439 provides a safe, effective cost-cutting solution of transmitting up to 4 analog video streams over one category cable. The VH439 is easy to install and is a passive device-removing the need for a power source. When used with Nitek active balun products, distances up to 3000 feet can be easily achieved. The VH439 has been re-designed to meet the needs of next-generation HD analog video formats; CVI, TVI, and AHD.

Wire and Cable Recommendations

We recommend using unshielded twisted pair wiring. The system will operate over wire 26 to 18 AWG. Category cables may be used. individually shielded pairs should be avoided, as they drastically reduce the operating range of the systems. Video can operate in the same communication cable coexistent with telephone, computer control signals, power voltages, and other video signals. While the video may be routed through telephone punch-down block terminals, any bridge-taps, T-taps, and any resistive, capacitive, or inductive devices MUST BE removed from the pair.
