Overview
The VH456 is an Active Video receiver that provides receives a balanced video signal and converting it into an unbalanced video signal for DVR/monitor applications. The VH456 actively receives up to 4 video streams from a distance of up to 3000 feet when connected to a passive video balun. The VH456 provides durability and efficiency in a compact design. While limiting noise and outside interference the VH456 uses DIP switches to help filter and control gain and loss for maximum performance. The VH456 is another tool in Nitek’s implements to providing a top-notch Analog video solutions line.
Wire and Cable Recommendations
We recommend using unshielded twisted pair wiring. The system will operate over wire 26 to 18 AWG but are optimized for 24 AWG. Category cables may be used. Individually shielded pairs should be avoided, as they drastically reduce the operating range of the systems. A Multi-pair cable with an overall shield is acceptable. Video can be operated in the same communication cable coexistent with telephone, computer, control signals, power voltages, and other signals. While the video may be routed through telephone punch-down block terminals, any bridge-taps, T-taps, and any resistive, capacitive, or inductive devices MUST BE removed from the pair.
